Barrow-Civic Theatre is a regional center
for quality theatre. It is home to Franklin Civic Operetta Association, known for over
forty years for the best in musicals, comedies and dramas. In addition, a wide variety of
entertainment from opera to country music completes an impressive schedule that delights
theatre lovers of all ages. |

Originally built as a vaudeville house in
1913, the theatre underwent a $2 million restoration, reopening in 1993. It now features
497 seats, each with an unobstructed view of the stage, state-of-the-art sound and
lighting systems, and a special stage floor which give it the flexibility of performances
from stage plays to rock concerts. The theatre is also equipped to accommodate patrons who
are physically challenged.
Barrow-Civic Theatre is located at 1223 Liberty Street, in the heart of Victorian
Franklin, Pennsylvania. Franklin is only minutes from Interstates 79 and 80 on
Routes 8, 62 and 322. |
